1984
Kyle Reese arrives from the future to protect Sarah Connor from T-800 (The Terminator), who also came from the future
Kyle made Sarah pregnant
Kyle died along with the T-800 (which i guess didn’t “die” but was destroyed)
Cyberdyne Systems discovered T-800’s corpse and took inspiration from its technology
1985
Sarah Connor gave birth to John Connor
1994
John is taken care of by a foster parents Todd and Janelle Voight because Sarah Connor was institutionalized after attempting to blow up a factory and urgently talking about judgement Day
1995
T-800 arrives from the future to protect John Connor from T-1000, who also came from the future
Sarah was rescued from the mental institution by T-800 and John Connor
Dyson, who would’ve created the processor for Cyberdyne, is apprehended by Sarah and later joins Sarah, John and T-800 to blow up the Cyberdyne Lab to prevent the creation of Skynet.
T-1000 failed his mission and was destroyed, and T-800 was destroyed to stop people from being able to use his corpse as a means to create Skynet
